Chiropractic Treatment

Advanced Chiropractic Care

As a Doctor of Chiropractic, I’ve been providing expert chiropractic care for over 35 years. All of the techniques I use are safe, effective and customized to your individual circumstances. Chiropractic adjustments have many benefits, and regular chiropractic treatments allow the body to function at its highest level.

Initial Chiropractic Consultation & Exam

During your first visit, an initial one hour chiropractic consultation and exam is spent gathering information to identify the contributing factors that are causing your current state of health. Please bring all prior medical records to your initial consultation.* A comprehensive health questionnaire will be required to gather all of the necessary health information to identify the deeper root cause of your illness or injury. The consultation is followed by a thorough neuro-musculo-skeletal examination. All new patients will need to be referred out for x-rays/MRIs to complete the exam process. We will then discuss your examination results and x-ray/MRI findings and I will outline your recommended treatment plan.

*If caused by a motor vehicle accident please bring relative details including police report, insurance information, accident pictures, etc.

Chiropractic Treatment Plan

Your treatment plan is determined by the severity of your injury. This can include:

  • State of the art spinal decompression
  • Interferential reconstructive therapy
  • McKenzie soft tissue rehabilitative procedure
  • Cold laser therapy
  • Spinal manipulation
  • Nutritional therapy
  • Proactive exercises

These procedures all contribute to healing your injuries and to restoring the loss of spinal functional capacity. If you have experienced severe trauma, such as closed head trauma, or are not responding to recommended therapy, you will need to be referred to a specialist for a second opinion.

End Results

The short term goal of therapy is to reduce your initial pain and initiate a level of normal function. Improvements in your exam and x-ray/MRI findings are long term goals which require an understanding of your injuries and compliance on your behalf. Stabilization of long term injuries leading to maximum medical improvement (MMI) includes:

  • Restoring normal ranges of motion
  • Decreasing the severity, frequency and duration of pain
  • Correcting distortions in spinal anatomy
  • Reductions in neurological symptoms such as blurred vision, headaches, tinnitus, vertigo, nausea, loss of muscle strength, etc.

The end result of successful treatment requires being able to not only diagnose your injuries correctly, but using all the current state of the art therapies available to treat and heal your injuries.
